Meet Kim Young

I am a Texas Native but have called Sarpy County Nebraska my home for 23 years.  I am no stranger to the military community having been a military wife to my Air Force husband who retired at Offutt AFB after over 20 years of honorable service.  My husband and I have been married for 28 years and have raised 3 children in this wonderful community.

I earned my BS degree in Business from Wiley College in Marshall, TX and completed further studies to obtain an MBA degree from Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA.

For the last four years, I have served as a Substitute Teacher for Bellevue Public Schools and Springfield/Platteview Community Schools in Sarpy County.  I also actively serve with my (Pastor) husband, Rev. Dr. Dylon T. Young at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, NE.  Here I work with the Women’s Mission group, serve as a Sunday School Teacher and work with the Media Ministry.

By profession, I have served as a Cost Accountant, Financial Analyst, Purchasing Card Administrator, and Office Manager.  I currently serve as a Substitute Teacher.

I am asking to earn your vote as Sarpy County Treasurer so that I can provide accuracy, accessibility and accountability in all areas of responsibility at the County level.  I will work with tenacity to provide transparency, improve technology, where possible, and garner your trust in providing government services to you, the customer, with a high level of efficiency.
